Covid-19 has brought about many hardships for Arizonans and the world alike, from housing, health, finances, and everything in between. Many Arizona people face eviction at the end of the moratorium due to the fluctuation in employment and wage changes since the pandemic began.

 As of August 4th, 2021, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention extended the eviction moratorium to October 3rd, 2021, still leaving many renters between a rock and no place to live. The CDC’s order does prevent tenants from being kicked out of their homes for the sole inability to pay. Tenants can get this protection by filing a declaration which is a sworn statement signed by all adults on the rental agreement. You can download the declaration paperwork here.
