Once a well-kept secret, Queen Creek is growing! Queen Creek doubled in population over the past year. Located 40 minutes from Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix, but right next to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, so convenient for travelers. Even though Queen Creek is getting bigger it still has a small-town heart. This town that didn’t have a grocery store just 20 years ago, now hosts a bustling shopping district that includes well-known brand name stores as well as local breweries, restaurants, a thriving Center of Performing Arts and lots of local artists with boutique shops.
What you need to know
One of the most important facts you need to know is Queen creek is a municipality and San Tan Valley is not…why is that important? Living in Queen Creek you have all your emergency services included in your taxes. So that means living in San Tan Valley, at least for now means you must pay a 3rd party for these services called Rural Metro. This fee can be from $600 a year to $2,500 a year depending on the total roof size. There are also 3rd party trash removal company (RAD-Right Away Disposal); sometimes this fee is included in the monthly HOA dues.

Queen Creek and San Tan Valley still believe the small business owner rules! It has a growing job market, not many large corporations have found them, yet! What life is like in these towns, laid back and peaceful. They have a light ordinance, so on a clear night you can see so many stars and even the Milky Way! In addition, there are abundant opportunities to shop, golf, bike, hike, camp, and fish all within 30-45 min away. Queen Creek provides great support for this community including physicians, Banner Hospital, both public schools and charter schools. Most of the town is only 15/20 minutes to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway airport or 45/50 min to Sky Harbor airport, and very soon the State Route 24 will be connecting the 202 to the I60 so coming and going is as easy as 1,2,3!
